Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade.com went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It says the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you know MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would be a good addition once it is live.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits beginners.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That is what kind of broker this is.
Combine that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
